NBA all-star Allen Iverson was arrested in Philadelphia after police were called to his cousin’s home after he and his uncle barged into the cousin’s home to find his Iverson’s wife, Tawanna. Tawanna had been hiding in Allen’s cousin’s home for two days after Allen kicked her out of their house, allegedly naked, after an argument. Iverson also threatened his cousin and his roommate with a gun that he did not have a permit to carry. Iverson was charged with 14 felony and misdemeanor offenses, including simple assault, reckless endangering of other people, conspiracy, possession of an instrument of crime, weapons violations, burglary, and criminal trespass. Iverson was facing 50 years of prison, but all of the charges were dropped after police realized that the witness’ testimonies were inconsistent.
